About The Author

T.K. Farmer

T.K. Farmer, the next to the oldest of five children, was born and raised in Rome, Georgia, a small city tucked in the foothills of the ancient Appalachian Mountains.

She attended her freshman year of college at Shorter University (then Shorter College) and later transferred to The University of Maryland University College, where she earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Social Science.

During a career working for the Army, that included some time in Germany, she married and she and her husband made their home in the Washington, D.C. area.

An interesting story - In Year 2008, she recalls taking a nap an hour or so prior to her departure to a New Year’s Eve service at her local church.  Her husband awakened her from the nap.  “It’s time to go, we’re going to be late.”  He exclaimed.  T.K. Farmer admittedly recalls being annoyed that her dream had been interrupted.  Yes, it was one of those kind of dreams.  The kind of dream you don't want to wake up from until it's over.  She’d dreamt that she’d written and published a novel.  She remembers thinking to herself once her husband woke her up, "Yea, right.  Me?  Writing and publishing a book?  This was definitely just a dream."  The closest she’d ever gotten to writing was a few research papers and essays during her college days.  But nevertheless, an idea before to form.  One she’d never considered before – writing a book.

For the next six years, T.K. Farmer wrote drafts and would turnaround and tear the draft manuscripts to shreds or delete them from her computer.  Write.  Delete.  Write.  Delete.  She came up with every excuse known to man as to why the writing couldn’t get done.  Every excuse from being a wife, to being a mother, to having a full-time and very demanding job.  Her laptop stopped working, giving her the "BLUE" screen.  The U.S.B cable she used to save manuscript files was damaged and kept giving an error message.  On and on.

God spoke to T.K. Farmer in a quiet, still voice and stated, “Publish the book.  Make a difference in someone else’s life.”  Hence, the birth of T.K. Farmer’s debut novella scheduled to release SOON!

T.K. Farmer is at a point in her writing endeavors, that she truly loves writing stories, mostly romance and family saga type fiction that uplift family and encourage friendships and togetherness.  Most of all, it is her intent to write the stories that honor our loving and gracious God.  As she sets out on this journey to accomplish the writing task God has impressed upon her heart, God has reminded her of a scripture (Colossians Chapter 3 Verse 23) that has resonated and that T.K. Farmer now uses as the foundation upon which her writing career and all other aspects of her life are built.

Colossians 3:23 reads:  Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.
