Paint The Best Picture of Jesus!

Paint the Best Picture of Jesus

So today I wanted to share my experience this morning at my car dealership service department.  It was for something minor; so rather than taking a loaner vehicle, I decided I would just sit and wait for a bit.  When I arrived this morning, I was greeted at the door by a nice young lady.  Before she could even get me through the doors good, an assistant service manager was approaching me, holding the door.  He escorted me in and showed me over to the customer waiting area, which had excellent snacks.  Once I was seated and settled, the lead service manager came out to greet me and asked how I was doing.  Other employees throughout the facility greeted me for the time period I was there.  When it was time for me to depart, the lead service manager called me over to explain (in detail) what they had done to my car.  When he was done explaining, he opened the door for me and then walked me out to my car. Opened the car door for me to get in, closed it and thanked me for my business.

I was just blown away with how EXCELLENT their customer service was while I was there.  I know some may be thinking “Well isn’t that what they're supposed to be doing ... it's their job right?” and while (YES) you’re correct, my heart and thoughts directed me to something profound.

The Bible Scripture - Colossians 3:23 reads:  Whatever you do, work at it with all of your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men.

I'm not sure if the dealership staff is familiar with this scripture, but it reminded me just the same (in my daily activities) ... in any and EVERY thing I do and touch, that I should be doing it with a whole heart and with EXCELLENCE.  It reminded me that just by polite gestures, kind words or other acts of kindness ... I may NEVER know who I’ve ministered to just by operating in EXCELLENCE.

So that’s my nugget for today:  Be determined to be EXCELLENT in whatever your endeavors are. We’ve all heard the saying, in many cases WE are the only BIBLE that folks may ever see. Paint the BEST picture of what Jesus is all about.

Now your turn:

Feel free to share a similar experience, if you would like. It can be either way: One where you were the recipient of such excellence or where you were the giver of such excellence and someone else was blessed.

I hope and pray that you're having the BEST day ever.

Thanks for taking the time to read and God bless you.
